Read the precise purpose of the appointment notice before choosing a calendar. Fingerprints can be part of a file's processing or the checks made when the card is collected. A collection appointment does not automatically replace a notice to submit or complete an application.
Distinguish three stages
- Submitting or completing the application: follow the office and document instructions in your notice.
- Processing after an online application: check whether the administration sets a date or asks you to book a specific procedure.
- Collecting the manufactured card: follow the collection process after receiving the message that permits collection.
The Val-de-Marne FAQ requires the applicant to attend personally for submission and collection. In Indre-et-Loire, collection includes fingerprint checks and does not allow someone to collect by proxy. These local examples do not establish every possible national procedure.
Match the calendar to the notice
Compare the service name, address and procedure label with the message you received. If the email already gives a date, do not create a second appointment unless instructed. If it provides a booking link, use that official link rather than a search result with a similar name.

Prepare the documents actually requested
Use the list accompanying your notice. For collection, Indre-et-Loire specifies identification, existing residence documents and the tax stamp for the document. Check the applicable amount before buying a stamp; an old screenshot may concern another card or an earlier tariff.
Keep the appointment email and any required confirmation. Indre-et-Loire asks users to validate the booking by email within fifteen minutes. Other calendars may use different deadlines: follow the module you used.
When the calendar is full or the category is unclear
If the indicated module has no slots, read our guide to no available appointments. An unrelated category is not a substitute for your notice or a way to obtain the same service.
